A 7-Year-Old Girl Realized a Strange Man in Black Was Following Her—But Instead of Running Home, She Did Something Unexpected
A seven-year-old girl was walking home after school. In her hands was a school bag stuffed with crooked notebooks, and on her shoulder hung a scarf that kept slipping off. The yard was quiet, empty. Only one person stood near the entrance of her building.
It was a tall man in a long black coat. His face was partly hidden by a scarf and a raised collar, but even that was enough to make him look frightening. He seemed to be waiting for someone. From time to time, he glanced around—and then fixed his gaze back on the building.
The girl felt uneasy. Her father’s words echoed in her mind.
The man noticed her. His eyes grew heavy, watchful. He took a few steps forward, as if checking that no one else was around. The street was deserted—no cars, no passersby. The girl’s heart began to pound in her chest, her palms sweaty. The man quickened his pace.
She turned her head—he was already very close. Her eyes darted across the stairwell, searching desperately.
